Award Categories and Descriptions
- Exporter of the Year (over $5M)
  - Companies with export sales over $5 million can apply.
  - Recognizes companies for excellence in export that have demonstrated a significant increase in export sales over previous years, along with market diversification, new product development, and innovation.
- Exporter of the Year (under $5M)
  - Companies with export sales under $5 million can apply.
  - Recognizes companies for excellence in export that have demonstrated a significant increase in export sales over previous years, along with market diversification, new product development, and innovation.
- Global Diversification Award
  - No eligibility criteria.
  - Recognizes companies that have penetrated and/or grown new markets outside of Canada and the U.S. (non-traditional North American markets).
- Innovative Exporter of the Year (under $10M)
  - Companies with annual export sales under $10 million dollars can apply.
  - Recognizes companies who have successfully employed innovative marketing and sales techniques to expand their export market, launched new products developed specifically for the export market, and/or companies whose product/service is cutting edge in terms of innovation.
- Emerging Exporter of the Year
  - Companies who are new to export within the past five years (since 2019) can apply.
  - Criteria include the volume of export sales, level of difficulty associated with entering the market, and unique approaches taken to enter new markets.
- Sustainable Exporter of the Year
  - **Selected separately by ONB leadership from three finalists chosen by the judges. Application for this award is not available. All applicants are scored in this category by default.**
  - Recognizes companies that have leveraged sustainable practices to enable growth from an export perspective.
- Impact Award
  - **Selected separately by ONB leadership in the foreign direct investment category. Application for this award is not available.**
  - Recognizes companies, either new to the province or that continues to grow their presence here through reinvestment, that have demonstrated a strong commitment to New Brunswick.
